Hawkins 12/23/06
#1
Fished Hawkins Reservoir from 4pm until dark the other day. Fished on the South end of the reservoir by the point that is just West of the dam. Measured the ice at 9"-10" thick. We had 10 poles out and didn't even get a bite.[shocked] I know guys have been catching a few out there through the ice. There could have been a number of things that we could have done different but I think the fishing at Hawkins is slow at best. I think if we had put in more time and moved to a different area we could have caught at least a few fish. I still thought it was more fun to try somewhere different than running over to Devil Creek and catching more small planters.
