Do you guys think it will be too cold without an ice hut up at the Berry tommorow?...just don't want to be miserable. What is the coldest temperatures some of you have ice fished without a shelter?

I have fished in -22 twice. Once at Pineview and once at Strawberry. It was a good outing on the ice both time because the wind was not blowing. If the wind had been blowing I would have been at breakfast. Caught quite a few fish both times. Good luck to you.

The coldest was at the Berry last year.....-27. I was glad for the shelter and heater. So cold the seat on the snowmobile cracked when I sat on it. That was the last time my wife when ice fishing. It kind-of gave her a bad tast for the berry and ice.

Twice last year at the Berry it was -26 when we left the car. The walk out warmed us up and then the sun came out. There was no wind or else it would have been miserable. I had a tent those days and didn't use it. It tolerable with the right clothes, no wind, and some sunshine. If it is cloudy or windy forget it, I'll set up the tent!
