mantua slowwwwwwwww
#1
At least for me, and slower for others I talked to on south end. I dug holes all over - in, out; close, far; where i've got them before and where I haven't.....

Did Manage three nice bg in 15 minute 'bite' about noon, one perch and one bass earlier. That was all she wrote. It was 6F when I left the truck at 10, and 13F when got back at 2. Really quite nice because it was dead quiet until breeze came up about 1PM.

Anybody with a better report?

I haven't been out there lately, it seems that Mantua has really slowed down some over the last couple of weeks- for whatever the reason.

A great time to try Porcupine and Hyrum : )

I would vote for Porcupine because I fished Hyrum today with a total of 1 bite in 4 hours of fishing. I kept warm by drilling holes!

I fished midlake at the state park. Same place as last week when I did pretty well. I was using small white tube jigs tipped with meal worms, but my buddies were using some other stuff too and they didn't get any bites either. I was even fishing with my two poles! Man, I drilled a lot of holes looking for fish. Its a good thing that the ice was only about 5 inches thick.
