Pineview 1/14

Fished pineview out from cemetary point. Started in 50', caught a few perch,moved to 30', caught a few smaller perch, moved to 15',not a bite. Caught 7 perch and kept 3. Lots of swinging a missing. Planning on trying again next weekend.

Welcome to BFT, Nice to get out and catch some perch - one of my favorite fish. Makes sense that the perch would be deeper now. Were you using electronics ? What was the temperature like there on Pineview ?

Hello. Thanks for the welcome. I was'nt using any electronics. Have'nt invested in them yet. Just using a weight and line to measure the depth, i guess the old fashioned way. When i left the truck at 7:00AM, it was -8, but was comfy with the heater on in the portable. I need to figure out how to hook up with some of you guys to go fishin'. Lately, i have been going by myself.

Welcome to BFT. Can't imagine ice fishing without a fish finder. I own two that are rigged for ice and I purchased another one today. I am about to enter the Vexilar world.
