Devils Creek Tournament
#1
Picked up two hourlys worth $100 each. Today the bite was off and the wind was howlin'. Heard a guy from Ogden had the first, second and third biggest fish. I figure he could go home with about $3,000. Not bad payday. Great tournament. Thanks to the organizers. Wish I would have known you could buy a daily though. Probably wouldn't have fished it both days. Biggest fish was 18" from what I heard.

Great job on the tournament. I never did hear any details about this. Who put it on? How much was it to enter? What days was it? Are they going to do it again? Thanks for any info.

Good to get back to talking about fishing. Pretty Sad the largest fish was only 18". That is strong evidence showing how efficient anglers are at catching fish out of Devil Creek before they have a chance to grow up. Can't complain because the reservoir is managed for numbers not size.

BMURR,

There was a website for the tournament. I posted a link to it on another thread a few weeks ago. They called it the "first annual" so I would assume they plan on doing it again next year.

Brian, cutts couldn't be counted in the tournament only rainbows counted. I supposed some bigger fish were caught than the 18 incher. Windy today and slow, yesterday was the good day. One of the officials said about 125 people signed up. Biggest fish were caught by the dam.
