Fishing Academy Report
#1
The latest Fishing Academy trip was on the Eldorado out of Long Beach Sportfishing Berth 55. We fished San Clemente Island for what would normally be considered a slow day. It was a very bumpy ride over due to the wind. The day started out cold and windy but warmed to a really beautiful day. We had wide open Calico fishing (about 50% legals), and all sorts of assorted Yellowtail, Perch, Barracuda, Halibut, Cabizon, etc. All in all it was another GREAT TRIP enjoyed by all! The jackpot was won by a big Barracuda. Steve Fukuto donated 4 overnight trips on the Eldorado that were given away by random drawing. Thanks Steve! [Smile]

The next Fishing Academy trip is a two day on the Champ July 3rd, call (619)225-8969 for reservations. The cost for the trip is only $399, including all food and snacks. This should be a really nice trip with lots of Albacore. Don Baker of Kicker Jigs just returned from a 3 day where he said they caught Albacore over 35 pounds. NICE FISH!

The new Fishing Academy shirts from BOOYAA with the big Tuna on the back looked really GREAT.

Dan Butler

Please practice C.P.R.
