Hey-has anyone had much luck at pelican later? I was there 2 weeks ago-nothing. Had fun with my boys though.[Wink]

[cool]Pelican is usually best right at first ice and for about a month afterwords. While I'm not a biologist, my hunch is, because it's such a shallow lake, the oxygen levels in the lake really go down as the ice gets thicker and the season wears on. I went there the day after Christmas, and also on MLK Day when it was 27 BELOW zero when we arrived. The fishing was still good a month ago, but not quite as hot as the day after Christmas. I just barely figured out how to e-mail photos from my new cell to my inbox, so here's a couple of attached photos of the first trip, and the first photo was taken about half way through the day before I had my limit:
