[cool][#0000ff]There's an article in the Tribune this morning about the big stripers from Powell this past year...including a 32 pounder last week. LINK TO ARTICLE

I have lived in Utah all my life, I have been in almost every state in the nation, but I have never been to Powell. I may just have to try and get down there to just catch some of the little bitty Stripers. I would like to see something in the 80lb range be caught.

Sure is one big ol striper! It would have really been a riot on 6lb test as well!

[Smile]what a fish Sherm. He used to live in town just down the road from me. he and my other fishin buddy used to get together with sherm and go to the gorge on the boat, and ice fishing to. Old Sherm is no stranger to big fish as he caught a huge cutthroat out of bear lake some years back. I think it was the state record or close. the only problem with Sherm and Shelly is that they left us hear in the cold freezing our butts off to go, work and live on lake Powell. congrats to Sherm. Hopefully we will get down there this summer and try to catch one of those huge stripers.

Wouldn't having Powell as your home waters be a real kick!

Hmmm I wonder how many big fish we could catch if we were able to fish it daily/weekly?

That would make me get the boat out of moth balls. Start using it instead of selling it. Hmmmm not a bad idea.
