A little hard to explain in writing. They are rather easy flys to tie. Start out by cutting 2 strips of glo bug yarn about 1" long. scud hooks work well. start the thread in the middle of the hook. take one strand of yarn twist it in the middle fold it over the thread and pull it up to one side of the hookwrap the thread in front of it then behind it. take the second strand and do the same on the opposite side of the hook.whip finish. pull on one side of the globug yarn and cut in a half moon. do same to other side. sharp scissors are a must. your first couple will look like flesh flys and as you get better they will look like glo bugs. most people tend to cut too far from the hook on the first few and they are too big.

Here's a pretty good example using a glow bug tool in movie format.
