Oneida Narrows report
#1
A couple friends, my Uncle Dan Jarvis and I hit the Narrows Sunday. Weather was awesome, water was cold and running pretty high. Someone must have needed some power for them to be letting that much water out HAHAHA. Anyhow, we started fishing around 9:30 at the campground just past the bridge. First cast landed a nice 17" Cutt, so it started as a great day. my two buddies caught about 20 fish a piece all rainbows, I caught 33 with the biggest being a nice fat 21" Brown. All the fish were just hanging in the "slow" stuff but very near where the current was, must have been feeding time!!! Anyhow, plan on going this next weekend too. ALL fish were released, so for the few that think the Narrows does not hold any nice fish I know I put a few back. Only seen 3 other fisherman. Our technique was the good 'ol rig of 3 medium sized split shots 14 inches above a hook and a nightcrawler!!!
