I went there last week for a drive and there was only about 10' of edge open except in north bay where a ton of open water was. The ice was coming off quickly though. It was real rotten.

A friend lives up there and told me two days ago that the lake is wide open, no ice. WH2

Can you launch a boat at any of the ramps or are they all closed?

I am planning on one day this weekend. It may be a little early but I have a strong urge to get the boat out for the first time this year! 1st I need to find out if any ramps are open before I drive out there. Youre more than welcome to come. I'll show you some spring tactics that are good until the later part of may this time!!!

I know the Port ramp is open for sure, not sure about the other ramp. When I was by there the other day they were not charging a fee to launch but that could have changed by now, who knows. Good luck if you make it up there. WH2

Hey Coot, I wouldn't mind hitting the lake with you again this year. Maybe this time we can school the fish in stead of the other way around. Let me know when your available. As you know I work where you do so I can go just about any time durring the week or on a weekend.
