Hit Newton today for a few hours hoping to troll up a musky but no luck!! we trolled rapalas behind planner boards. Water level is about a foot below full pool it was very windy and hard to controll the boat! There were a few other boats out and about I saw one boat catch 2 bass up on the north end they looked to be about 3-4 #!! Water temp was 49!! M.H.

Thanks for the report muskyhunter! With a handle like that you are probably the one to ask where (and when) a guy who has never caught a musky could take his son to try for one of the brutes? We have to fish from the shore. Signalfool says his wife caught 2 small (22-24") muskies last fall at Pineview fishing for smallies with a spinner. I was thinking that would be a good place to start.
