When I was younger my family would go down to lincoln beach at utah lake in early june and shoot carp. They dont get very big but there sure are alot of them. And during the spawn they get really dumb.

Thanks for your help. Does any one know the rules and regs for bow and arrow fishing, or where to find them?

[cool][#0000ff]If you are on the Internet, and have a search engine, all you have to do is enter "Bow Fishing" and you will have a bajillion websites to look at.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Here are a couple I have saved the links for:[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]AMS BOWFISHING ARCHERY EXCHANGE SULLY'S[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I assume you are looking to ventilate some carp with arrows. That is legal with any kind of bow except a crossbow. Not legal.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]You can find carp targets all over Utah. Utah Lake is one of the best places, especially during years of high water, like this one. Many many places to find carp wallowing in the shallows around the lake.[/#0000ff]

also, only non game fish can be taregeted with a bow. rules and regs can be found online at the dwr website. there are some cheap set ups that can be purchased at sportsmans or cabelas. 30 bucks will easily get you a reel with line and an arrow.
