[cool][#0000ff]Hey, there are some MONSTER brine shrimp in that lake. You just need the right electronics, downriggers and refined tackle to get into them. Yeah, right.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]One of my favorite Utah jokes is about the guy with California license plates parked beside Salt Lake, out by SaltAir. He was all set up with his folding chair, cooler, tacklebox and a line out in the water. As he watched his rod expectantly, he was approached by a GOB (good ol' boy) from Utah.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]The GOB had a tough time keeping from snickering as he started the conversation: "Purty day, ain't it?"[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Californian: "Sure is. I love it here."[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]GOB: "How's fishin'?" (Almost laughing)[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Californian: "Great. Couldn't ask for nicer weather."[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]GOB: (turning red in the face) "How many ya got?"[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Californian: "Ten now, counting you."[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]A few years ago a couple of fishin' buddies came back from a trip to Powell with a few nice stripers in the cooler. Just for grins, they launched their boat on Salt Lake and put out some trolling gear. Same story. A couple of folks in other boats would hoot and holler at them that there weren't any fish in the lake...and they would hold up a couple of stripers (not strippers). Didn't really fool anybody but it was fun.[/#0000ff]

As I see it there Nothing wrong with soakin' a crawler in the Great salty pond. A Feller only has to cast out once and drag it back just before calling it a day. And,, he dont have to worry about catch fish. After all, that could cause a feller to have to set down his subs.
