Traveling to Port A

[] SSOR, The old fishing salt that you are down at Port A, maybe you can suggest a few places, that are comfortable, and being budget minded, in and around Port A ... Or anybody else... I never fished that part of the coast before, and I believe that I'm going to go down there and join in the fun, and meet a few of my BFT friends... I want to go and do some exploring, do some wade fishing, and be more prepared the next time I go... So any input will be welcome, and please come on down, company is always welcome.... WHAT!!! You never fished the area? WOW are you in for a great treet!

First I got to tell you just like all Tourest areas it has a tendancy to have elivated prices. BUT!! they are not anything like Florida other than the weather and seanery. I have some links for you that will help you find a lower priced loging on and off the island. Off the island is only 7-10 miles in Aransas Pass.

On the Island you will want to check here for best prices:

Off the island the prices are cheeper. In Aransas Pass there are many locations to choose.
I tryed to find sites for some of them and found that some of my choises are listed on one site along with availability and prices. Take a look here:

After you access the site click on the Hotel tab, then enter the requested info and Aransas Pass. The four listed in the lowest price range are good locations and all are on my list of recomendations. Granted they are not the Ritz but still nice locations.

There are also many RV and Camping locations in the vesinity.

I hope to do alot of fishing with the many members that have plans to come on down during the two combined events. My waders have gone to the anglers geer resting place in the sky. Unless I find a replacement I probly will not join in on the wadeing sene. But I can direct you to some great flats locations to fully enjoy.
