Just thought I would share what the local weather is like around the pond today. For those of you planning a trip this weekend the forcast doesn't change much through the weekend. [mad] I will be enduring the elements Saturday though![sly]

I sure will post a report!

Unfortunately I am not a fair weather fisherman. (Although somdays I wonder why not)! It seems the only things that keeps me away is as follows:

1. The W---
2. The Ice (scared to death of the stuff).
3. Work
4. The wife after months of complaining (But I usually pick a bad weather day, jokes on her.)LOL.

Well, I'm seriously considering changing my name to Fair Weather Only. Or, Sunny and 70 Guide Service. But hey, June 20 is not far away, and we'll get our 11 weeks of non-winter!

(but, I once saw snow at Lucerne on July 4th) And everyone wonders how I can call such a gorgeous place an "arctic, barren wasteland! It does keep the fair-weathers away though. You might actually get to fish a hump by yourself.[sly]

[font "Arial Rounded MT Bold"][black][size 4]Speakin of weather and fishing I thought you guys might enjoy this email I recieved a while back.
"The alarm went off at 5am. I crawled out of be.d looked outside and it was raining. Not wanting to ruin a Saturday I got dressed anyway, went out to garage opened the door and it was still raining. Started the truck, pulled out and hooked up the boat, still raining. Turned on the radio to listen to the forcast for the day and they called for rain all day. Unhooked the boat from the truck, went inside got undressed and crawled back into bed with wife. Snuggled up to the wife now with another idea in mind and whispered in her ear that it was raining like crazy. She replied "Ya i noticed can you believe my stupid husband is out fishing in this weather". I still don't no if she was joking.

Actually for me this is a good time to have crappy weather. My trolling motor is down for repairs(waiting on parts) But seeing three inches of this white stuff, this morning don't help my attitude any either.

I can deal with the snow and the cold. It is the stinking 35 MPH w---- that is blowing the white stuff around that gives me a poor attitude. But you could not have picked a better time to have the trolling motor needing some parts. At least you are not sitting around looking outside at a calm 60 -70 degree day with a broke trolling motor.

The good new is that it stopped snowing and the sun is out with a slight 30-40 MPH breeze out of the northwest. That is perfect for the new sport you just invented Kite-Fishing! I bet the kites could put up a quite a fight. LMAO

I've always thought we needed a 60 or 80 foot "community" barge with 4 giant anchors. Just load up everyone who wants to go, run out to Swim Beach, Antelope or Linwood where there's a mess of fish, anchor the barge, and everyone drop away! Somebody would catch one, or at least scare the hell out of 'em.
