FISHING CLINIC AT JOHN MARTIN
#1
The Colorado Division of Wildlife will host a Warm Water Fishing Clinic at John Martin Reservoir State Park on Saturday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The indoor part of the clinic starts at 10 a.m. at the John Martin State Park Visitor Center. DOW staff will present lots of information about warm water fish species, their biology, and tips on how to catch them!

The program will be geared toward adults. There will be a hot dog cook-out at noon and then go down to the lakeshore after lunch to do some fishing!

The clinic promises to be educational, fun and may include a few prizes! There is no cost to attend, but participants need to have a State Park Pass and fishing license if they want to go fishing.

John Martin Reservoir State Park is located approximately 20 miles west of Lamar. Take Highway 50 to the town of Hasty, turn south and drive about 2 miles to the visitor center.

Call to register or for more information contact: Linda Groat (719) 336-6608.

Additional Information: The Colorado Division of Wildlife is the state agency responsible for managing wildlife and wildlife habitat, as well as providing wildlife related recreation and maintaining a balance between human activities and wildlife. The Division of Wildlife's primary funding comes from the sale of hunting and fishing licenses and the habitat fees collected in conjunction with those sales. The Division does not receive tax dollars from the state's general fund.
