Finally got a break after all the wind we have been having the last few weeks, so I took advantage of the calm seas and headed for the gas platforms in Breton Sound. Had Ed and his son who had just graduated from LSU and was given this fishing trip by his mom and dad. The first rig we stopped at was all we needed as the guys quickly put their 50 trout in the box using live shrimp Carolina rigged on an 18 inch leader. The trick was to throw across tide and let it slowly sink to the bottom and on the way down, "wham" trout on, and the fight began as the trout were all big females 2 to 4 lbs. After catching their limits we headed in and beat the afternoon thunder showers. They both had a great time and booked another one in a few weeks.
