BIG TROUT RUN IN THE SOUND

SHELL BEACH, LA. REPORT 6/8/07....Well with the winds coming down for the last few days the big trout got active. Today Tim and his 2 guests joined me for a good old "Trout Slam" in Breton Sound and one stop was all it took to fill the 150 qt. box with 100 2 to 4 lb. trout. We used Carolina rigs and sliding corks rigged with live shrimp to put a hurt on them. Tim and the guys are from Baton Rouge and fish with me often but this trip was one of the best as far as size and how fast we caught them, we starting at 7:15 am and trout number 100 hit the box at 9:00 am as we had reached our 4 man limits. These 3 can really fish and it showed as they got into the specks and never quit. ANOTHER GREAT DAY ON THE WATER WITH A GREAT GROUP OF GUYS.

Challenger rods and Abu reels hauled them in again.
