CONCORD, N.H. - The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department's Powder Mill State Fish Hatchery in New Durham, N.H., will be closed to visitors from June 4 through November 30, 2007, while construction work is completed to replace the water line to the hatchery.
"Please be patient with us while we dig things up and build to keep our hatchery productive," requested Robert Fawcett, Fish Culture Operations Supervisor for the Department. "We ask that you stay out of the way to avoid any accidents, for your own safety and for our piece of mind. Thank you."
Fish and Game's other five state hatcheries remain open for visits by the public throughout the year, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
