aug 20 report and last post until september

Fished the navy's prowler derby this morning, tracy and I headed out in the dark and made the trek out of the swinomish channel up to bellingham bay to my favorite dart area, Same tribal Butt heads were there this morn that placed a net that wrapped around out boat and got stuck in the motor yesterday. but the one old guy who seamed cool had a talk with running brave headuphiskiester and they stayed back at least 100 yards..I know that guy seen me writing down the name on the Headuphiskeiester and the other boats boat numbers, so maybe he was trying to save face...No fish in the slew so we ran to secret harbor and dropped the DR's Tracy caught a small just 22 inch fish with an hour left before the run back so we bonked it...I had a large fish on but honestly cant tell you if it was a salmon or not, we caught about a 20 pound dogfish today and seen a few other big ones in a bait ball...So maybe it was a shark but it felt like a salmon...we went to weigh in and I guess every one had trouble today catching fish....Tracy's 4 pound 14 oz fish won the derby....that makes My little blue lund the winning boat 4 out of the last 5 years....Im heading for Michigan tomorrow and Ill be so fat out in the sticks that even the TV's black and white..Ok just joking but I wont have the internet,,,Ill be back for the peak of the dartfest sept 1st...DJ

Ive been out a few time after my vacation, we caught 7 kings in the last 2 trips nothing really big, about 17 pound the biggest. Ive cooled it down on the posting thinking maybe I post too much keeping others from getting interested in the washington page,,,,by the looks of it I would have won the free-be's that were offered for the most reports, but seeing I had the only reports it would seam wrong to accept anything...Im hoping it grows...DJ
