newton lake how does it look
#1
does anyone know how much water is in there so far this year I haven't been up there yet this year so I don't know. I was thinking of going up there this weekend. I try to get up there alot to fish for bass, perch, crappies, catfish, and MUSKIE. if you don't know of the lake it is a great little lake to fish."until the watercraft get on" the cats up there are big fish for them off the dam"15 to 20 lbs are not that rare" bass just about any place . crappies in the smaller bays. perch most places, muskie well mostly in the upper end. any way it's a great place to fish with out a lot of people most of the time. if any one want to learn how to fish it the can hold of me and I'll tell you or take you

I fished there for about two hours on saturday. The water is at the bottom of the concrete ramp. I didn't catch anything, but then again I generally don't at newton. Haven't quite figured it out.

[cool] thanks for the water info. the best way to fish up there is to use a real worm with no wieght on it . hook the worm like you would a texas rig fish on the dam or east side by the dam.for most shore fishing. If you put a boat on it then go up to the first bay that goes north east rig the same put it by any of the trees or look on your sonar and drop it should do good. if after my muskies use bucktails"black or firetiger", or grandma's in fire or perch. toss like you would for bass. by the way the bass can get big here. last year I put back a 51/2 lb off a a moss boss top water. that was fun. the crappie have been bigger then pineview and willard at least the last few years. hope this helps
