Lake Buchanan, LBJ and Canyon Lake Reports

Lake Buchanan: Water: clear; 83 degrees; 1017.27'
Largemouth are fair early (and all day under cloud
cover) in 8'-20' using watermelon Whacky Sticks on
jigheads, rootbeer JDC Drop Shot Worms on drop
shot rigs and white/chartreuse-purple back crankbaits.
Stripers are only fair at daylight on the surface around
Lighthouse Point on Spoiler Shads (plastic swim baits),
Rat-L-Traps and drifting or freelining live bait.
White Bass are only fair and small in 12'-25' along the river channel or deep creeks on Tiny Traps and 2 inch plastic swim baits.
Crappie fair in clear water using pink/white or chartreuse
Curb's crappie jigs and live minnows..

Lake LBJ Water Stained, 83 degrees, 824.65'
Largemouth are fair early and late in 8'-12 skipping
wacky rigged green pumpkin Whacky Sticks, 4" tubes
and black/chartreuse Curb's jigs under boat docks.
Stripers are good at night on Creme Lure's 2" Spoiler
Shads and Little Fishies.
White Bass fair to good at night on Little Fishies.
Crappie are fair to good over brush piles in clear water
on Curb's crappie jigs and live minnows.

Canyon Lake: Water: clear; 83 degrees; 911' :
Largemouth are fair to good in 12'-20' along mainlake
bluffs Smokin' Green" Devil's Tongues on drop shot rigs,
watermelon-red Whacky Sticks on wacky rigs or Texas
rigged 6" pumpkin Scoundrel worms and white spinner-
baits fished in standing timber in 4'-8'. Also, early and
late and all day upriver using JDC Skip-N-Pop topwaters,
wacky rigged silver flake Whacky Sticks and later pitching
Texas rigged blue flake worms into laydowns along
breaklines .Smallmouth are fair early in 12- 28 feet using
smoke JDC grubs, and 3/16 oz. pumpkin Curb's jigs with
matching JDC craw trailers.
Stripers are slow to fair trolling Gizz 4 crankbaits over a
nd around humps and jigging 1 oz. Pirk Minnows at day-
light.
Crappie are fair up river on minnows and crappie jigs.
