With more than 475,000 firearms deer hunters in the state, the DNR is encouraging hunters to purchase their licenses early to avoid long lines and any system issues associated with the high sales volume. The 2007 Minnesota firearms deer season begins Saturday, Nov. 3. For more info go to;

The 2007 bulls-only moose-hunting season in northeastern Minnesota ended Sunday Oct. 14. Hunters registered 115 bull moose at nine registration stations scattered across Cook, Lake and St. Louis counties over the 16-day season.
