Just take a look at the link and then make up your own mind .... innovative way to speed up a tube?
or just plain crazy?

		[cool][font "Pristina"][green][size 4]That would hardly be a stealth approach to one's fishing site.[/size][/green][/font]

[cool][#0000ff]If you just want to get somewhere fast, there are many options. That is one of them.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I personally like to fish as I go. That kind of propulsion would really mess up my backcast.[/#0000ff]

I agree with Tubedude. Fishing as you go is the best way. Time just seems to go away when you're fishing and before you know it, you're there.

I have needed to take a potty break before however, when that kind of maneuver might have been helpful.

Looks more like a "hot dog" manouevre to me. I'd really like to go head to head with one of those guys to see if they could seriously outrun me while doing their thing while I kick in the normal way with an effort to crank up the power. If you're concerned with on the water speed get a pontoon or a kayak.

I agree with Pat and Dave our sport is contemplative and speed is not an issue.

[cool]The truth is that I'd probably fall out of the tube trying to flip around on my stomach like that. That, or send my rod(s) to the bottom of the lake.

That is an odd way of propulsion. I still like the "Fishing my way" technique too.

I definitely wouldn't try that manuever in some of the Saltwater areas that I tube. It would be gauranteed to drum up a few sharks.[shocked]
