With the January issue for 2008, Guns & Ammo invites you to join a year-long celebration of our first half century. Since Robert Petersen had Ken Bayless gin up the first one-off, G&A has offered firearms enthusiasts the cutting edge in firearms, ammunition and optics and has enjoyed the continued support of the industry and enthusiastic readers the world over.
In each issue for 2008, we'll have reviews of high points and influential firearms, famous flops and seminal products that have changed the firearms world. The top gun writers will add their predictions for the next 50 years and discuss path of industry development. Biographies of G&A's 12 editors will compliment stories on the men who built the firearms industry in America and the products that made it a triumph.
Guns & Ammo came into being by fits and starts, but we're considering the July issue our flagship for the celebration. A special cover and historical articles will chronicle how an inspired publisher's dream became the largest circulation subscription-based gun magazine on the planet. From the quiz page, to the gun room to Down on the Border, we hope you'll enjoy features and departments written by the men you know and respect as the best our industry has to offer.
Welcome to G&A's first 50 years. We couldn't have made it without you.
