The San Juan

He's the owner & guide to fishing on the San Juan. 90% of all the flies they use are smaller than a size 20. He tied this 26 midge for me. I don't think that I could thread this sucker even with the magnetic threader. Though I will try this latter on. The fly is built on a Daiichi # 1130 hook., black 8/0 thread, a bit of fine dubbing & flashabou for wings. I'm sure that FGD would think that this fly is too big. LOL[] Heck I dropped it on the floor and found several beads, hooks before I finally located it. Where is Sherlock Holmes when you need him?[/size][/green][/font]

I have that fly in my fly box. Black with copper or silver wire.

The wire he uses is so thin that I had trouble seeing it as he passed it along to those of us watching to test it's strength. Surprisingly the French import is quite strong. Yes his recipe calls for either copper or silver wire.[/size][/green][/font]
