Before time Caddo was.

Caddo lake cover about 26,800 acres
Half in Texas and half in Louisiana.
There a four (4) watersheds that feed Caddo Lake.
Big Cypress creek out of Lake O the Pines
Little cypress creek
Black Cypress Bayou
Jeems Bayou
Normal lake level: 168.6
Pool level - Dec. 27th - 168.86'
Water temp - 47.4 to 52.3
Air temp - 31 to 42
The past week we got approx 1" of rain, it has help the fishing on Caddo, and with the water temp fulling the Crappie fishing has pick up, we have been putting more Big Crappie in the boat each trip we have made this week.

Fish the River
2 full day & 1 ½ day trips this week
Baits of the day:
Stop #1

Big Cypress River, we put in a the 43 bridge boat ramp.
Started out fishing the boat dock near deep water with 12 to 20 feet near by.
Fish live bait to start with and then change up to 1/16 - 3/32 oz jigs yellow body with white tail or all yellow worked the best this week.
We also works some of our brush piles in 12 to 20 feet of water.
Bass fishing has been good later in the day as the water warm up, we have been using the NEW Craw Clicker, 3/16oz Black/Brown/Amber with the Patented latch-on RED CrawClicker rattler.
The Crappie have move out to the river, they can be found in 12 to 20 feet of water in brush and around some of the boat dock. We have started booking trips this pass week for Crappie.
