any report on the ice thickness on rire? I drove up there New Years Eve about dusk and walked down the boat ramp, there was open water around the edge but someone had been out on the ice. I saw one auger hole and little boot tracks, being large in stature and cautious in nature I chickened out. New Years Day went to Mackay instead, did ok, mostly kokes 10"-12" range.

I fished next to a guy at Pallies today who said he fished on Ririe two days ago and there was 3-4 inches of good ice. There should be another inch or so now as cold as it has been. I forgot to ask how the fishing was. Good luck if you go up.

Welcome to the board. I do not know the current ice conditions at Ririe but I am sure that it is getting close. The ice thickness can vary dramatically at Ririe so be careful. I look forward to hearing your reports.
