[font "Pristina"][green][size 4]The smallest flies that I have tied to date have been a # 20. But after watching Jude Duran [our recent fly club guest tier] tie 26s without the aid of glasses I thought that I might give it a try. After all I would be wearing a head band magnifier. Although I cheated by starting with 24s. I made it simple by tying two easy flies. A Griffith Gnat and a KF Midge Emerger. The hardest part was putting the hook in the vise. Dropping that tiny sucker was not fun especially if it fell on the floor. Once I lost it under my nail. LOL. Well not really but I could have. I appreciate TMC using a magnetic pad in their packaging to make it easier on the user to extract the hooks from the bag. I can’t imagine how the female Irish pro tiers can tie these flies without a vise. What is the smallest fly that you will tie? Yea I know FGD its's a 32. Too bad they don't make a smaller hook.[
