Last week when I came home from our ranch I saw a few people on the ice at Treasureton. Do they do pretty well there through the ice?

It can be great. Today was a little slow. It is a trophy fishery meaning no bait, one pole, and barbless hooks. Also you can only keep fish over 20. However, I've fished near people that I know were using bait and my baitless jigs worked as good or better. It's a nice little reservoir that can grow some big fish.

If it is no bait, why didn't you report these people? It takes one to ruin it for all remember.

You didn't say if you turned the other guys in but I hope you did. I use bait at other place on a regular basis but like flygoddess said people that don't follow the rules at the no-bait waters ruin it for the rest of us.
I carry the cell number of most of the local COs in my wallet. You can always call the number on the back of your fishing licences. It also doesn't hurt to write down license plates and other information. I'll even show up to their court day and hope the judge takes away their fishing/hunting rights for at least a year as well as a fine. I believe the fishing would be much better at Daniels and Treasureton if everyone played by the no bait rules. [signature]

No assumption, just read your post and it reads that you out fished them, meaning they were catching fish.
You did say it in past tense however. Sounds like you have some killer jigs. PEACE [signature] |
