A couple of budies and I hit Ririe for about three hours yesterday afternoon. Between three of us we iced over 100 Kokanee. So I just wanted to say thanks for all the comments people make on here. We fished off a point quite a ways away from everybody (Thanks windriver). I had only fished there once before a few years ago and I got skunked, but it sounded like everybody was having so much fun, I decided to try it again.
The vast majority of the fish were only a couple of feet from the bottom. We caught them on jigs, and sweedish pimples, tipped with wax worms and earthworms.
But anyway, what I'm trying to say is kudos on all the reports.

Glad to hear you had success. How deep was it where they came through? I was gonna pull an all nighter up there, but got snowed in down here in lovely Utah after I had packed everything under the sun and got all excited to get back to Idaho for a bit. Oh well, lucky you for still being Idahoan. Did ya take any home to eat? How many of those little guys does it take to feed a guy? What's is your favorite recipe for cookin' those?

We were about fifty yards off of the point, so i think the water was probably at least 60 feet deep or more.
That would be fun to pull an all nighter, but where we were at, they just turned off at about 4:30 and we couldn't catch any more at all.
As far as eating them, I'm kind of a wierdo, in that I really hate eating fish. but I love to catch them and let them go.

Thats cool, catchin' and releasin'! Proves you love the sport and your not strictly a meat monger like to many of the folks out there w/ licenses and buckets. I've been perchin' before and seen folks take buckets home, large or small, they would take em all. I thought oh well, came back the next day, and they were at it again. Fish cop came by checkin' licenses, so I inquired, he informed me that he was aggravated by this group, as they are always coming and taking ridiculous quantities, and there was nothing he could do about it. I love to eat fish as much as anyone, but when I see folks w/ freezers full of freezer burnt game, it just don't make sense. Good talkin' w/ ya!
