Hey there tailgrabber I believe that the color depends up the type of fly that you are tying. If you are trying to mimic a given insect then go natural. Like I just started tying stoneflies. I'm sticking with a deep brown and a golden hue. Now if it is a woolly bugger then I might go a little crazy. Olive, orange, maybe pink or purple. [FGD likes purple flies I believe] I am sure someone else will have a different opinion and that's cool. To me it is all about tricking the fish into believing that I have a meal for them.[][/size][/green][/font]
