The weeds haven't started to grow yet but the river is running really high. Here is a better website to check the flows.

Thanks,

I was just up there yesterday. The river is pretty high, but still clean with little to no weeds. I caught 2 fish, one brown and one cutthrout. Both were around 17 inches. It really surprised me when I caught the cutt. I can only think of a few that I have caught up there in years past. One thing that was surprising to me was both fish had black and brown spots on their bellys that looked like sores. I've heard of this happening in reservoirs but I've never seen it on the river.

i caught a brown in the sout platte here in CO the other day that had the same thing. at first i thought it was a bite from another fish, but once i started thinking about it, it turns out they/it was some sort of sore. i have never seen sores on a fish from a river myself.
