Fished Lucky Peak today, and it made me a believer in the Weather Channel's fishing forcast chart. It predicted two periods of good fishing for the Boise area, one around 7-8 and the other about 11-12. We caught our limits, and every fish was caught during those periods. We went about an hour w/o a bite, and about 11:30 the bite started and doubles were the rule. The bite was very soft today, and we probably lost another dozen fish. All but one were fat hunks, most about 15". Fought like crazy. The last time we were up there they were 14-14 1/2" They are growing fast! Pautzke nectar seemed to work well today. Mike

Sounds good. I think we're going to head up tomorrow early.
I haven't heard of Pautske nectar. We usually use wedding rings with a kernel of white corn and a rubber snubber. I wonder if Freddies has the nectar?

Pautzkes' nectar can be found at the Sportsman's Warehouse, and I believe Joe's. Just soak your shoepeg corn with some nectar the night before, as I usually do, or in our last trip up, when we were scrambling to find something that worked, I just dribbled it on the wedding ring and corn. The good thing about a soak is that it will turn the corn pink, and we all know how kokes love pink! Mike

Ok Mike, I will post how we did. We usually fish from the point below the old tree farm to the far side across the reservoir from Spring Shores, then up to the bridge. Will have to do without the nectar this trip as SW is on the other side of town. Meeting at Albertson's on Federal Way at 6:45. Can't wait!

Man, it was a tad chilly this morning. We fished from 7:30 to noon. Boated six fish and kept three. A couple niced sized ones in the 14" range. We all got bites but they didn't hook up.
Saw some other boats catching fish. We were anywhere from 3 to 5 colors down and 5 seemed best. I'm going out again next week and see if we do any better.
