In- Fisherman gone downhill
#1
Has anyone else noticed that In-Fisherman is just one big Berkley advertisement lately. Every single article somehow weasles Berkley products in. In-Fisherman was full of un-biased info for years. Now it just promotes everything Berkley.
Even Walleye In-Sider has went south. Last months issue had Yuba listed as a top pick. Obviously they just pulled that information out of the files from years ago and didn't even bother checking whether its still a good fishing hole or not.
What a shame. A top notch fishing magazine gone corporation.[mad]

[cool]Hey, WB, I'm sure you know about the Lindners selling out their interests in INfishermen over a year ago. Since they no longer contribute their expert on-the-water articles and guidance, it has become a hollow shell. I let my subscription expire several months ago.

I would suppose you already know about WalleyeCentral, at http://walleyecentral.com/

Also, for folks who are fans of the Lindners, they have a new website at: http://www.lindnermedia.com/

When are we going to see a WalleyeBob website or publication? I know, you would rather be fishing. Me too.

http://www.westernwalleye.com/ is a pretty good magazine. Probably more applicable to even utah waters.

Bob, I let my subscription lapse a year or so ago. I got fed up with it. I also got a sample issue of Western Walleye mag that Eric mentioned. It has good articles, which is what I want from a magazine. www.westernwalleye.com

ya know once upon a time theses shows were "it" , now just dust on my hat to be brushed off . they started off with a good concept , and got lost along the way . there loss .

i guess thats why we all ended up here . we don't get one thin dime from whoever's product we talk about . each guy gives his own honest acount of his experiance with a product , if it's good , he'll say so . if it bites the big one , he'll let you know why he didn't like it .

no music , no videos , just good honest fishing talk . the stuff these shows forgot all about . and free fishing reports that pan out for you .

they can keep there show sponsors , i'll hang out here with " true fishermen " .

Hey Bob, the Lindners sold In-Fishermen to Primedia in 1998. Al's contract lasted until the 2002 season. The Magazines' editors are running the tv show for Primedia. I hear you man....

I'll probably be at Deer Creek sat. seeya on the water.

I knew the Lindners sold out, but still,,,whats with all the Berkley stuff? Are they partners with Primedia or what?

Hey Tomegun, I'll be up there saturday. Some huge smallies have been hanging out along the steep rocks, just around the point, south of the Island park marina. We have seen them with the camera. And some big browns and eyes.
We caught a few 16 to 18 inchers the last couple weeks on the west side. Find me on the north end.
The walleye started on there annual bug fest last week.
Should be lots of fish on the flats for the next few weeks. Until the water hits 72. Its about 53 now.

oops, I forgot we were on a me whining about In-Fisherman thread. Sorry, I get side tracked.
