Finally!
#1
Went up to the EC state ground today with kokehead. We hiked in over 3 miles and saw no birds until we got about a mile from the truck on the way back. We were walking past the pond and a single grouse was making it known that he wasn't too happy about us being there. Boy did i ruin his day. This totals over 25 miles hiking to see only 1 grouse![crazy]
Oh well, good exercise. Next saturday is go time for some serious elk hunting. Bring on the snow baby![Smile]

Just watched the news and they are calling for SNOW in the higher elevations this coming weekend!!!!
To answer your ?, i have not scouted my hunting area because it is 4 hours away. I have killed 2 bulls in 3 years of hunting it. Pretty good success on public land. I have faith that it will be good. I also have friends who hunted archery on it and gave me the thumbs up. We'll see what happens.[cool]
