remote motor control

I was wondering if setting up a remote motor switch for the Minn Kota Maxxum is different than for the Endura?

I will be finding out. That is the motor I have been using all summer, but didn't do the mods due to the warranty, but I can't take it anymore.
Actually, I think it will be easier because there is no 1, 2, 3, etc, but rather a gradual increase the more you turn.
I still have the remote controller from my Endura, just have to take the reo-stat out of the Maxxum and replace the Endura one in the box.
