Ball Bouncing
#1

Ball Bouncing- This fishing technique allows the angler to get a trolled bait down near the bottom of the water column. Using a downrigger, controlled speed, and a 2lb or 3lb ball weight, baits can be kept down despite currents, etc., as well as following the bottom contours. Here in Southern California, this angling method is often used for halibut as well as a number of other species. See Downrigger.
