Another day at big sand bay

Got on the water at 8:15, water temp 44.7 and calm[]

First taker was a walleye on a perch storm lure. then it was quite slow till we moved into a little bay with a purple roadrunner which was kept by a heavy feeling specimen after a brief tug of war.

Switched to a chartues roadrunner and the trout loved it. The second walleye couldn't understand all the commotion and decided to join the the rest in the basket.

Lost 4 other trout just at netting time where they introduced me to there catch at release philosophy.

Other than the "breeze" move us in every direction other than the one we wanted to go it was an awesome day. Only used 1 doz. worms 3 to go before soft water ends.

Marked what I think was crappie but still no volunteers[frown] When am I gonna learn?

Think I am in need of another battery only getting 4-5 hrs now, thats OK unless a big wind comes up.

[#0000ff]Don't retire your battery just yet. Try wrapping it with insulation to keep it warmer. They don't last as long in cold temps.[/#0000ff]
