Bear River 11/01
#1
Went up and hit the narrows on Saturday. Got up there at about 8:15. The browns are just starting to spawn and the fishing was good. Temp when we started was 47. Started out using a pheasant tail and an egg pattern. Caught two right away. Saw some fish rising so I switched to a caddis with a pheasant tail dropper. Caught one on the dropper. The fish were rising after Blue winged olives. I didn't have any. My dad wanted to walk up by the power plant. I switched to a full sink using a brown and beaver leech. Fished for about another 40 minutes and caught 5 others. Left to go home to the football game at 10:30. Talked to a very nice guy up there by the access bridge about saving the canyon. I sure hope that the the dam never goes through. Sorry no pictures left the camera home.

Thanks for the report. It has been a long time since I have been down there. When I lived closer to that area it was one of my favorite spots.
