Well, it's over for the Black Rose in 2008. I mean, we had a blast fishing for tuna. Arguably, this is the best sportfish on the planet! Fishing anywhere from 1/2 to 15 miles from shore, we hit tuna to 150 pounds on spinning gear and top water lures (and even bigger fish with live bait and trolling).
If you've never fought a fish like this on spinning gear, get ready to try it in 2009. These fish should return at 200 pounds (and smaller fish should be there as well--we had a huge school of smaller fish arrive late this year and they found amazing forage. They'll be back at 60-100 pounds).
Check out some of the video that we took this year. Lots of tuna!!
