Yuba 1-19-08
#1
Didn't have any classes today so I talked my Dad into taking a few hours off of work today so that we could go see what all the hipe about Yuba was about. We made it down to Painted Rocks a little before 8 a.m. We took the wheeler a few miles to the west and started fishing. Not sure exactly if there is a name for the area of the lake we were fishing as this is was my 1st time fishing Yuba. We started getting fish right off the bat as my Dad landed a nice 11 incher. The bite was real good for about an hour and a half and then slowed up a bit around 10 a.m. We were still catching fish, just not as fast. We were fishing in 30 ft of water and catching them on a variety of jigs tipped with some perch meat. It was a great day and I want to thank everyone on the board for posting and being so helpful to answer any questions. I've had several good days fishing thanks to reports and help from this forum. Mucho Thanks!
