Kentucky Lake & Lake Barkley
#1
The big lakes have had good current the past few days and whitebass and largemouth fishing has been very good. Whitebass are in the jumps still, early and late in the day. They are hitting a variety of top water baits. Jigging spoons are also catching good numbers after the jumps. Largemouth have been active on the drops, especially in Lake Barkley. Kentucky Lake has the edge in whitebass catches. Crappie have been slow with very little activity to report. Bluegill are fair to good early and late along the deep points and under the docks. The bigger fish are 8' to 10' deep. Crickets are catching most of the bluegill. Catfish are slow in the lakes but are fair below the damns on cut bait.

TIP: The days are getting shorter and the nights cooler. Don't be surprised that the fish move suddenly and seem be be gone. They will start moving towards fall patterns soon.

BITS AND PIECES: "Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal."
