I'd planned to make my way down to the land of the great catfish on Tuesday, but the snow convinced me to wait until today (Thursday, Mar 5). I'd been watching the weather and the 65 degrees with winds of 6-9 mph looked too good to be true. It was. We left the Skull Island ramp about 10:00 and fished the secret spot and a couple of not-so-secret spots, but couldn't get a bite. We offered fresh shrimp, really stinky rotten shrimp, skipjack and chicken breast. (I forgot the Spam and cheap hotdogs, darn it). We finally left about 10 minutes after the next-to-last guy gave up.

Hit Sweeney's for a great lunch and then to the dam where I just knew it would be more sheltered and I could at least show my neighbor there really are fish down there. Not to be - it must have been blowing 20 by then. We stayed about an hour and then decided we needed to check out Sportsman's Warehouse.

Left C-town for Manchester about 4:15 and had an uneventful trip home.

On the plus side, I had a great day with good company and I didn't have anything to clean up when I got home!

Someday I'm going to report a fish to you guys!!!!!!!!
