My TWRA friends bevis and butthead, oops - I mean Rob "rantoole" (french for "man with small tool&quot
and Jim "tennfisher" (french for "tennessee fisherman&quot came down and forced me "EricM" (french for "great fisherman and fine figure of a man&quot to take them catfishing today. I made the first drift before either of them was rigged and I landed a 45 pound blue cat! I can't remember exactly, but I think the boys each landed 3 between 6 and 10 pounds before I landed my second fish, a nice 40 pounder. I tried really hard to feel sorry for them, but just couldn't do it emoBig
. The bite was really very slow and we worked hard for those fish that we caught. We continued to get various fish in that 6-to-10 range when I managed another good blue at 25 pounds. The mood in the back of the boat was getting a mite ugly so I let Rob catch one nice cat at 35 pounds. Jim, the nice guy of our group, kind of got left behind today, but we will get him a BIG fish (50+ pounds) one of these days soon! It was kind of funny when two TWRA officers came over and checked us. Seems that since I was the only one without a badge (outnumbered by TWRA officers 4-to-one!) that I was going to be the guy in the barrel if they found anything wrong - but somehow I had all of my ducks in a row!!!!!! emoBig No jail time!!!!! emoThumbsup Even drumking and hal came over to visit a couple of times. It was a wonderful time with good friends and I look forward to getting out with them again soon! emoAngler
