Jim and I met early Friday morning for a little practice before the CFF Tournament. Fished all day and caught fish(7 keepers), mostly on traps. We did find a minimal pitching pattern too. Water temps were 50 degrees when we first got on the water but warmed to 56 degrees in Mud Creek and 58 in the back of Roseberry. Wind was a problem most of the day, causing a kidney bruising ride back to the ramp. Got off the water around 4:00 and met Bprice and TritonCarl for dinner.

Yesterday was a carbon copy of Friday. Clouds early with sunshine around 10:00. We started early pitching docks where Jim landed our first keeper. We ran to a grass flat where I've had success in the past. Hooked a solid keeper which came off 6 inches from the net. Caught a couple more shorts before we made the run to Mud Creek. Not as many boats in there as I thought there'd be. Found out why after a while. Bites were few and far between. We managed to catch our last two keepers there. The last 2 hours of the tournament consisted of catching shorts. Water temps were virtually the same as Friday's water. All of our fish were caught in water 4 feet or less.

A big thanks to JIm4596. Not only is he a quality stick, he saved my behind many times keeping me in the channel back in Mud Creek and a couple of other places. Hoping we can do it again in a couple more CFFs.
