Checked the weather late last night.
It said it would be a very nice day today.
It lied.

Decided to go out of Calville in search of some pre-spawners, only to find a mean ass ''breeze" and some serious swell and chop.

Despite the knarly conditions, I paddled about 2.5 miles to the east of Calville to a cove that I thought might be sheltered a bit, but it wasn't. It seemed the wind was coming from two different directions at all times.

Because of the way too fast drift (I didn't bring my anchor) I couldn't really fish, so I turned around and went back in.
Crazy ride in, lots of swell, almost got flipped by a rogue wave that hit my side just right.
Fun paddle today -

Its almost the end of my skunk.... One day at a time.
