Got out for a bit yesterday afternoon, despite wind that seemed to shift direction every minute... dog mostly behaved this time (he only jumped out of boat once, trying to chase geese -- the geese won). Fished docks and brushpiles, got into a mess of runts, must have gotten 40-50 fish but only one over 10... lost a much larger crappie (stupid move, tried to lift it in boat, should have known better...). Also picked up several bonus spots, a lm, a couple of smallish drum, a bunch of bluegill, two big warmouth, and a 3-4 lb channel cat, all on 1/32oz tubes, all released.

Worst part of the day was meeting a landowner that has a really productive dock -- lots of pilings, high deck, deep water, and much brush that he'd put in. He seemed like a nice enough guy, but folks at a local tackle store had suggested to everyone that came in that they fish his dock, and some idiot(s) had stolen several store-bought fish attractors (~$100) that were tied in underneath the dock. He will be installing fencing all the way around the dock sometime in the next couple of weeks, making it impossible to fish from the water. Why is it that one idiot always has to ruin a good thing for the rest of us...?
