Florida Fishing
#1
We are headed to Florida April 22nd-27th. Landing in Orlando. We will be in the Orlando and Tampa area, doing the standard tourist thing, beaches and touring NASA, but would also like to get in some fishing.

We will be shore bound, but bringing rods big enough to surf fish..........but the number one thing I would like to locate is Peacock Bass. Will be bringing my fly rod and I heard they have Peacock Bass in the southern sections of Florida.

Are we anywhere near them, or within a reasonable drive to locate them.

Most likely will be my only trip to Florida, as I prefer the western states and Alaska, but my wife picked this trip........................so any help with where to go would of course be appreciated and I would gladly help out anybody headed to Michigan or Alaska.

You gotta go a few hours further south for the Peacocks. Miami/Everglades is best. Google "Jim Anson" or "Florida Peacock Bass" and you'll get hours and hours of information.
